Traditional Japanese Indigo fabrics

We offer a ever growing selection of traditional Japanese indigo fabrics. Reminiscent of the traditional Hida Sashiko stitching, the beautiful craft that was developed in the last few centuries in Japan. The original stitching method was used as a necessary task to sew several layers of fabric together, and in time grew as an expression of art and design. Adopted from the Hida region in Japan the popularity grew and spread, as it does today together with the traditional look of the indigo color.
